These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of The Cut mobile application and website operated by Drift Lab Studio Inc. ("we", "us", "our"). By using The Cut, you agree to these Terms.
The Cut is an AI-powered golf performance tracking app. It allows you to log rounds, sim sessions, and club data, and to chat with Chase — an AI coaching assistant — to analyse your game and suggest improvements.
The Cut is a tool to support your practice. It is not a substitute for professional instruction from a certified golf coach. Any advice from Chase should be considered alongside your own judgment and, where appropriate, the advice of a qualified instructor.
You must be 13 or older to use The Cut. You create an account using your mobile phone number, verified by SMS OTP. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it.
You may not use The Cut for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
The Cut offers a free tier and a Pro subscription. Pro is available on a monthly ($14.99/mo) or annual ($149.99/yr) basis. Early adopter pricing ($8.99/mo or $89.99/yr) is available to users who joined during our launch period and is locked in for as long as their subscription remains active.
Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store. Cancellation, refunds, and billing disputes are handled per Apple's standard policies. You can cancel at any time in your device's subscription settings.
Free tier usage limits (rounds, sim sessions, AI credits) may change over time with reasonable notice.
Chase's responses are generated by an AI model and may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or not applicable to your specific situation. We do not guarantee the accuracy or fitness of any AI-generated coaching advice. You use it at your own discretion.
Do not rely on Chase for medical advice, injury diagnosis, or any purpose beyond golf performance guidance.
You own the data you log in The Cut — rounds, sessions, notes, and photos. By using the service, you grant us a limited licence to process and store that data in order to provide the service to you.
You may not upload content that is unlawful, harmful, or violates the rights of others.
The Cut, its design, code, and branding are owned by Drift Lab Studio Inc. Nothing in these Terms grants you a licence to use our trademarks or intellectual property beyond what is necessary to use the app.
The Cut is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any data will be preserved indefinitely. Golf performance improvements depend on many factors beyond the app.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Drift Lab Studio Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of The Cut, including any loss of data or golf performance outcomes.
We may update, modify, or discontinue features of The Cut at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes that affect paid features.
We may update these Terms. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify you of material changes via the app.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
